The Section of Thoracic Surgery is comprised of board certified surgeons who are expert in the surgical treatment of diseases of the lungs, pleura, chest wall, esophagus, and mediastinum, with a strong emphasis on lung cancer surgery. Under the direction of Michael Walker, M.D., Chief of Thoracic surgery, the thoracic surgeons work in cooperation with pulmonologists and other medical specialists to provide the full continuum of care for the patients we serve.
