The goal of the section of Vascular Surgery at Danbury Hospital is to provide patients with the most advanced and sophisticated means for the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease in the safest manner possible. The chief of the section, Alan Dietzek, M.D. is a board certified vascular surgeon who relocated to our area from the North Shore University/LIJ and St. Francis Hospital programs in Manhasset and Roslyn, New York. He brings over 15 years of experience in vascular surgery and interventional vascular procedures to our patients. He is joined by two highly qualified surgeons with clinical expertise and innovative techniques to treat a variety of vascular diseases.
Vascular disease includes a number conditions that affect the blood vessels (arteries and veins) that carry blood throughout the body. Our team is expert in diagnosing and treating peripheral vascular disorders, one of the leading causes of death and disability in the United States. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology including a fully accredited Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory and modern operating rooms, our surgeons diagnose and treat many conditions and are expert in both minimally invasive and endovascular procedures.
